Consultation of telecommunications operators regarding the draft tender documents
The Federal Communications Commission (ComCom) has instructed the Federal Office of Communications (OFCOM) to prepare the award of new mobile telephony frequencies.
OFCOM has prepared an initial draft of the tender documents as well as the terms and conditions of the auction. All interested telecommunications operators are invited to take part in this consultation until 6 April 2018.

At the end of this consultation, ComCom will take its decision concerning the subsequent procedure and the definitive tender documents.
Public consultation concerning the allocation of new mobile telephony frequencies
A public consultation concerning the allocation of new mobile telephony frequencies in Switzerland was carried out by OFCOM in June and July 2017. This was the first stage of the preparatory work on the award of the new mobile telephony frequencies by ComCom. The summary of the results along with the position statements were published on OFCOM's website.
ComCom plans to award the newly available frequencies within the framework of an award procedure which is expected to begin next spring with the invitation to tender. ComCom is currently drawing up the terms of the award. Interested mobile radio operators will then have an opportunity to express their views on the draft tender documents. The award of the frequencies is planned for the second half of 2018.
